The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, in cooperation with the Novak Djokovic Foundation, has started equipping another preschool facility in the city of Belgrade, the newly built preschool facility in Cukarica. By signing the Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Education, the Foundation and the City of Belgrade, the municipality of Cukarica became the fifth Belgrade municipality whose facility will be equipped from the funds of the Inclusive Early Childhood Education and Project.

The preschool institution Cukarica, in each of the 21 facilities that currently exist, is working at full capacity. The number of children covered by preschool education in this municipality is about 6000.

In this facility, 13 groups of all ages will be formed (3 groups of younger nurseries, 2 groups of older nurseries, 6 mixed groups and 2 groups of preschoolers). The capacity of this facility is up to 270 children, which will greatly reduce the number of children not covered.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, in cooperation with the Novak Djokovic Foundation, decided to help and accelerate the process of opening a new facility through equipping all 13 educational rooms through the Inclusive Early Childhood Education and Care Project The rooms are equipped with modern furniture in accordance with the new basics of the preschool education program, as well as toys and books according to the ages in the kindergarten groups. In that way, it will be possible to admit children to this facility as early as October 1, 2021.
