BRUS MUNICIPALITY – ADAPTED AND EQUIPPED 1 WORKING ROOM IN PRESCHOOL “PAHULJICA”

As part of the project “Inclusive preschool education and care” implemented by the Ministry of education, science and technological development in partnership with the Novak Djokovic Foundation from a loan from the World Bank in the territory of the municipality of Brus another study room was adapted and equipped.

The specificity of the municipality of Brus is the great diversity and the great distance of families with small children from the rural area to the nearest educational groups, which makes it difficult to access PVO for each child. For this reason, preschool “Pahuljica” in Brus tries to include as many children as possible in school education.

By adapting and equipping one study room in Zlatari, the coverage of children aged 3 to 5,5 increased from 28,3% to 33,5% in the rural area, and at the same time the waiting list was reduced.

The coverage of children, especially from vulnerable groups, has increased: by mapping the place with the projection of the physical distance of families with children in rural areas, the village of Zlatari is the most favorable for increasing the coverage of children and creating conditions for their early development and attending the mandatory preparatory preschool program.

The local self-government provided funds for exterior and mechanical works, while the Novak Djokovic Foundation and the Ministry of education, science and technological development through the project “Inclusive preschool education” adapted and fully equipped the building.

The works involved the replacement of floors, walls, ceilings, joinery, lighting, as well as the installation of air conditioning. The new, adapted room (one mixed group) is fully adapted to the needs of children and educators and follows the new basics of the preschool education program.

In addition to furniture that has been selected and adapted to a mixed age group, the room is equipped with new toys, carpets, lazy bags, an easel for painting, books and necessary consumables.

In the new group in the territory of the municipality of Brus, 17 new children aged from 3 to 5,5 years were enrolled and the room was adapted and equipped in accordance with the needs of our youngest residents.

ORGANIZED TOUR OF THE CELTIC VILLAGE – PRESCHOOL “BOSKO BUHA”, PALILULA

Preschool institution “Bosko Buha”, Palilula, as the holder of the project “Rastimo zajedno”, organized a tour of the Celtic village. The Celtic Village is a thematic tourist complex located in the sports and recreation area of Indjija, which is inspired by the life of the Celts in this area. Since we discovered that there are archaeological finds that say that the Celts were also settled in the territory of GO Palilula (Karaburma), we considered it important to learn something more about them. With the help of the guide Dragana, who is part of the Tourist Organization of Indjija, we heard stories, saw evidence that helped us experience how it was to live 2,300 years ago, and what it is that we inherited from the Celts, and what we still do today. We played and entered into various roles, and part of what we find today as evidence of their existence, we created with our own hands. And this time, the guests of the children, included in the project, were friends from the regular group of the “Mali princ” kindergarten.

Municipality of Raska – Adapted and equipped 3 study rooms in preschool “Veselo detinjstvo” in Milatkovic

As part of the project “Inclusive preschool education and care” implemented by the Ministry of education, science and technological development in partnership with the Novak Djokovic Foundation from the loan of World Bank, 3 more study rooms in the territory of the municipality of Raska were adapted and equipped.

Preschool “Veselo detinjstvo” in Raska has been making great efforts for years to include as many children as possible in preschool education. Recently, preschool education in the municipality of Raska is completely free, so the interest of parents in enrolling their children is increasing.

The great need for capacity expansion has arisen especially in recent years due to the opening of factories and the retention of young families both in the villages and in the city. This climate is also characterized by developed tourism due to the nearby mountains of Golija and Kopaonik, which is considered one of our biggest tourist attractions.

In all forms of the Institution’s work this year, 822 children were included, classified into 39 groups. Special attention is paid to providing support to children from vulnerable social groups.

Elementary school “Raska” in the village of Milatkovic, near Raska, gave the use of 3 study rooms to the preschool institution. The local self-government provided funds for mechanical works, while the Novak Djokovic Foundation and the Ministry of education, science and technological development through the project “Inclusive preschool education and care” adapted and completely equipped the building.

The works involved the replacement of floors, walls, ceilings, joinery, lighting, as well as the installation of air conditioning. New, adapted rooms (two mixed and one preschool group) are fully adapted to the needs of children and educators and follow the new basics of the preschool education program.

In addition to the furniture that was selected and adapted to each age group, the rooms are equipped with new toys, carpets, lazy bags, easels for painting, books and necessary consumables.

In this way, we have enabled the joint forces for a large number of families to remain in the countryside and for their children to have the same quality conditions for early education as in the cities.

In the new groups on the territory of the Raska municipality, 60 new children aged 3 to 7 years were enrolled and the premises were adapted and equipped in accordance with the needs of our youngest residents.
