KINDERGARTEN “BOSKO BUHA” TOGETHER WITH MUNICIPALITY PALILULA HAVE ORGANIZED THE VISIT OF THE FACTORY OF PAPER “SMURFIT KAPPA AVALA ADA”

Preschool education “Bosko Buha” together with municipality Palilula, as a part of the project of the  ministry of education and World Bank “Inclusive preschool education,” have organized the visit of the factory of paper “Smurfit Kappa Avala Ada”

The children, who are part of the Grant project  “Rastilište” and the children from the kindergarten “Mali Princ”  have visited the factory.  The main goal of the visit was to introduce children to the production of the paper and the packaging that are used in everyday activities. As the new program includes more use of natural materials. Simply by educating children (who are part of the preschool institution and the ones who aren’t)  is a representative of the good practice in showing them the resources of the local communities and to learn them about the equal right for play and learning for everyone.

The idea for factory visits is being developed by the local community. On the other hand, the factory “Smurfit Kappa” has recognized the importance of children’s education and collaboration with the local community. Also, they have recognized that favorite material for the children is paper, and they introduced children to the importance of recycling and environmental protection.

Employees of the factory organized a welcome day, together with a talk and workshop with children about safety inside the factory. The children have got information about the production of paper/cardboard during the visit. After trough play, preschoolers have learned about recycling and the importance of environmental protection. The little ones were very joyful once they received the presents from the employees of the factory.
